Sabor a Cafe

DSC_6781-Edit.jpg

Back to Sabor a Cafe in July our project "Soleira". We will present pieces written by the 20th century’s great Spanish and Latin American composers. There's something in this music for everyone, as it sounds beyond ages or genre categories, created with very few tools - a voice and a guitar, powerful in it's simplicity, and in the same time sophisticated.

Sound Meditation + Jazz

Ana:Ari ShowApr25.jpeg

The power of vibrations are used all around the world with the intention of releasing stress, quieting the mind, and re-harmonizing the body. On April 25th, Jay Taylor and Arianne Urban will lead you in meditation using a gong, crystal singing bowls, and viola. Your participation requires no skills, abilities, or beliefs, simply sit or lay and allow the vibrations to interact with your body. After this meditation you will be in a state of openness and ready to receive the transcendent voice of Ana Munteanu and masterful guitar work of David Onderdonk. Take this opportunity to connect with the power of the human voice and be truly present to the experience.

Passages - An Eclectic Collection

53155162_2202467159813625_7173204689855447040_n.jpg

“What started as a small art collection a couple of decades ago soon outgrew my house and later my storage space. That prompted me to analyze my compulsion to collect art and the realization that if I want to be surrounded by art the natural progression would be to open an art gallery. So here are my first timid steps toward that goal.”

Adrian Angyalosy

About the venue: When you set foot inside Vol. 39, you might feel as though you’re stepping into a decadent cocktail bar from a bygone era. Bound vintage law books and tufted leather couches are balanced by delicate details like intricate glassware and hanging lamps crafted from cut crystal decanters. It all makes for an intriguing atmosphere that feels grounded in history, but with a hint of something new to be discovered.
